PwC
Their biggest room of the year, produced live.
[ The problem ]
PwC runs a flagship annual conference for its people and partners. It has to look and run like PwC: a polished main stage, presenters carried on a large LED screen and image-magnification side screens so every seat sees the speaker and the slides, and remote contributors brought in without a seam. Backlight produces it, across consecutive years.
[ What we did ]
- 01Built the main stage and content system: a large LED backdrop and image-magnification side screens so every seat had the speaker and the slides.
- 02Ran multi-camera coverage from a vision-mixing gallery, cutting the room to screen in real time.
- 03Brought remote speakers in over a hybrid feed, mixed into the same show.
- 04Handled the stage design and technical build end to end.
- 05On the most recent conference, advised replacing the venue's installed AV with a purpose-built rig, so the room's dynamics were designed rather than inherited.
- 06Built the content system to match: an eight-by-three-metre main screen with two one-by-three-metre side screens, driven from Resolume on dedicated cards matched to the walls' native resolution.
- 07Produced the Voice of God announcements for every segment, and lit the room to carry the shifts between them.
[ Outcome ]
PwC's annual conference runs as one produced show: the room, the big-screen content and the remote speakers, all cut live by one team, across consecutive conferences. Four years of them now, across two venues.
